Minecraft is a game that is very special to me. I've been playing it since 2012, when I was 9, so I have so many memories of playing this game. Many of the worlds I built those memories in have been lost to time, but I'm better now at preventing that.
So, of the worlds I still have access to, here are all the ones that are important to me! For each world (which will be in its own collapsible group), I'll share the name of the world and when I created it, a written blurb about it, and some screenshots :)
Worlds will be ordered by how much I want you to see it! Somewhat arbitrary, but hey, it's my site!
EIGTBO is intended to be my Forever World—that is, a world that I will play on for as long as Minecraft has some part of my life. I easily have more hours played in this world than in any other Survival world I've ever played on—it's over 200 at this point, and going up nearly daily. I've collected every obtainable block and item in my massive museum, I have nature paths and structures being built all over the place, I have a bunch of ideas for new builds, and it's all on foot—I haven't put on an Elytra a single time, despite having two. I can't wait to see what this world looks like in the future.
This roller coaster started as a simple pastime, to see how long of a minecart ride I could create. After years of on-and-off work, this thing is nearly 10 hours in length, with about 200,000 rails placed so far. My big rule for the coaster is that it must have a significant amount of twists and turns, interesting structures, and variety, and I think I've accomplished that. My full list of self-imposed rules can be found here! To my knowledge, this is the 2nd-longest Minecraft roller coaster ever built. One day, I'd like to push for the world record.
Despite the intentionally-dumb name, this is quite an important Survival world to me. This is the first time I ever played a solo Survival world with my priorities set on building and pure cozy fun, as opposed to efficiency and progression—and I've gotta say, at least for me, this is the superior way to play Minecraft. I adore this world, even if I didn't play on it for very long.
This is one of my all-time favorite Minecraft worlds. It was a Survival world I played during the pandemic, and I poured my heart into it. I built my base on this peninsula, imagining tons of buildings connected by stairs and bridges throughout—and while I lost interest before working my way down my whole checklist, I still have so many great memories from my 100+ hours on this world. Fun fact: despite having been playing Minecraft for 9 years at the time, this was the first time I beat the Ender Dragon legitimately in a solo survival world! I still have the screen recording of the fight.
This is a Survival world I played on for a bit with my friend Lena, back when we talked more often. It was a fun world, and to this day it's quite special to me, even if Lena and I haven't played Minecraft together in years.
This is a Survival world my IRL friend group and I played on for some time during the summer after our sophomore year of college. It was quite fun to play on as a group, with us all building our own houses! The first screenshot is of the house my friend Arya and I lived in together :)
This is a superflat Creative-mode world I made to build cool stuff in. Its main attraction is a giant castle which, while unfinished, has a huge fully-functional automated storage system. I had this idea that I would eventually recreate the castle in a Survival world, but I was never serious about it. I'm still quite proud of this castle :)
(Note: while I technically made this world in 2021, I only started working
on cool builds like this a year later)
La Bonita was the last Survival world I really got into before my Survival mindset became more building-and-coziness-based. It was very efficiency-focused, with a villager breeder, a trading hall, and a datapack-fueled storage system. While I don't like playing Minecraft this way anymore, I still had a lot of fun with this world.
This is a Survival world I played on with an online friend group of mine. It wasn't active for long, but it's still special to me :)
This is the earliest Minecraft world I still have access to. It was a world I played on for a little while with my then-best-friend Bren. It was fun building this little castle with him :) I don't remember much from those few Skype calls, but I'm very glad I still have this world.
