Geometry Dash is one of my all-time favorite games. Here are my Top 10 favorite levels!! All the gameplay footage used in these videos was botted by myself! And I made all the video thumbnails, too :)
LIMBO is a masterpiece. It is absolutely gorgeous, perfectly represents its amazing music, has fascinating gameplay, and is incredibly fun to play. If a couple big chokepoints recieved minor nerfs, and if the ULDM were just a bit less laggy, this would be a perfect level.
Libertas is a level absolutely oozing with charm and personality. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and in doing so, lets itself be something truly special. I can tell the creators had a blast building this thing, and it's also a blast to play! I could write paragraphs and paragraphs about why I love this level so much, but this will have to do. As close to perfection as a level can be, and only a hair away from being my #1 favorite.
This level has one of the most well-executed themes ever, and has gameplay that's insanely fun and unique while doing so. The first cube is so much fun, and the rest of the level is... well, it's also so much fun. This level is just phenomenal in every way—practically zero flaws.
This level is pretty like no other—any screenshot of the level just looks fantastic.. The flowery theme is done so incredibly well, too, and works so well with the song. I just wish it were easier so I could try and beat it. My only critique is that I wish the endscreen art were something manually made instead of just being an image imported into the level, but it's a nitpick. This level is simply gorgeous, and it's a crime that it wasn't featured or more.
This level has a ridiculous amount of personality. The designs and other visuals, the song, and its gameplay are all so unique and make the level really stand out. The balancing is a bit quirky, but hey, it makes it memorable.
This is another level with a beautifully-executed theme. Every inch of this level follows it to a T, and it's gorgeous. The section at about 0:24 is especially lovely. The gameplay throughout is so much fun, with the climax of course being that avalanche ship section, which is just perfectly designed. I had a lot of fun beating this :)
Future Funk is a really fun level to play, with fun and unique designs throughout. I'm a big fan of the backgrounds and effects, especially during the final section of the level. This is always just a fun level to go back to and do a practice run of.
Deadlocked is one of the most fun levels ever. RobTop is so great at designing fun gameplay, and this level was his magnum opus. The designs are fun and creative as well—the whole level has a very specific "RobTop" vibe that I adore, with so many iconic parts. Just fantastic.
Kuzureta is pretty. That's about all I have to say. It's just such a pretty level, with such a great song. Only nitpick I have is that the section that starts at 0:46 (the final section before the endscreen) is really not that pretty compared to the rest of the level. But OTHER THAN THAT this level is criminally underrated.
Thanatophobia was my first Extreme Demon (and yes I think it should still be an Extreme!), and it was such a good one. It's visually very interesting, but the gameplay is where it really shines. This level is so much fun! Practice mode completions are fun, going for longer runs is fun, and going for full completions is fun. Highly recommend to anybody in the skill territory.
